Senior Citizens, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for area seniors, recently hired Luella Sanders as the organization's chief financial officer. In her new position, Sanders’ responsibilities will include overseeing all financial management operations and working closely with executive leadership to maintain budgeting, financial forecasting and cash flow for administration and existing programs. 

Prior to joining SCI, Sanders was the former director of finance for Union Mission where she administered payroll, coordinated year-end audits, and implemented updates to accounting programs.

Originally from Jesup, Ga., Sanders received her bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Savannah State University and a master of Business Administration from Georgia Southern University.

SCI has been serving coastal Georgia seniors since 1958. Its mission is to help people age successfully through essential services such as home-delivered meals, in-home support services, nursing services, senior companions, adult daytime care centers, neighborhood activity centers and more.
