TAG Brings Speaker Gary Sanchez, AT&T, to Georgia Southern in Statesboro

The Technology Association of Georgia, TAG Savannah, and the College of Engineering and Information Technology at Georgia Southern University are partnering to continue their featured speaker series.
The event will take place 11:30 am - 1 pm Wednesday, April 29th in the 3rd floor dining room in the Information Technology Building on the Georgia Southern campus. The event is free and open to the public, although pre-registration is encouraged. Georgia Southern is sponsoring lunch for the attendees.
TAG Savannah invited Gary Sanchez, Regional Director of External Affairs at AT&T Georgia to speak. Sanchez will focus on AT&T's innovative new technologies that take the company beyond the realm of phone and wireless technology. Through the lens of AT&T, Sanchez reveals how trends in the technology sector are redirecting and shaping the trajectory of even the most established technology companies.
Sanchez accepted his current position with AT&T in 2012. He has over a decade of experience in the telecommunications industry and nearly two decades of experience in the external affairs profession to his current position.
As regional director for AT&T, Gary works closely with community leaders and policymakers to help meet the company’s objective of bringing the best new technology to consumers. He is also responsible for managing AT&T’s extensive philanthropic and community engagement efforts in Southeast Georgia including the AT&T Aspire program focused on high school success and work force readiness and the AT&T It Can Wait campaign to end texting while driving.
