BankSouth announces their Savannah branch is now open to the public as of May 11, 2015. Operations are led by Savannah Market President, Laura Moore, and Chairman of the Advisory Board, Kay Ford. Their ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening event was held on Monday evening in Johnson Square and were joined by Alderman at Large, Carol Bell, the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce and fellow business partners.
“Our team has been carefully selected to be made up of some of the best banking professionals in our area. We are so excited to be a part of BankSouth and to bring relationship banking back to Savannah,” said Moore.
“It has been a pleasure to be a part of the BankSouth culture where relationships are truly prioritized. We invite you to experience the service that only traditional community banking can provide,” said Ford.
The event coincided with the release of ICBA Independent Banker magazine’s “Best of the Best” May 2015 edition in which BankSouth was named as one of the top 20 performing community banks in the nation for the third year in a row. “Our team is dedicated to quality and excellence for the benefit of our customers, and it is an honor to receive this recognition,” said Harold Reynolds, CEO and Chairman of BankSouth. “We are excited to bring this same level of service to the Savannah community.”
BankSouth is located at 18 West Bryan Street on Johnson Square and is open weekdays from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.
