Laura Katz, faculty member with the Athens office of the University of Georgia Small Business Development Center, is the 2015 SBD statewide “Consultant of the Year.”  The annual award is based on a consultant’s work with the business community, program development, publications, presentations and professional development.

Katz has worked with the SBDC as a business consultant since 2011.

“She exudes an enthusiastic attitude and passion about the SBDC mission. In addition to her quality consulting services, Ms. Katz is always looking for opportunities to build awareness and enhance the SBDC’s involvement with academic departments,” SBDC Director Allan Adams said.

The UGA SBDC provides business consulting and continuing education services at 17 locations throughout the state.
