Seacrest Partners recently presented the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society with a check for $27,577.31. These funds were raised in conjunction with their training efforts for the Publix Savannah Women’s Half Marathon to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

In its inaugural year in Savannah, the Publix Savannah Women’s Half Marathon selected the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as their designated charity of choice. Diane Woods, an employee of Seacrest Partners and a leukemia survivor in her tenth year of remission, was chosen by the LLS as the face of the campaign.

In honor of their co-worker’s remission and her commitment to LLS, 14 ladies at Seacrest Partners formed the Seacrest Sisterhood. In addition to months of training, the Seacrest Sisterhood held multiple fundraising events and, in partnership with Diane Woods’ team of friends and family members, the Seacrest Sisterhood had a goal of raising $16,000 for LLS.  The teams exceeded their goal by raising over $25,000 which will help further the mission of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to find a cure for blood cancers and improve the lives of patients and their families.

“This extraordinary group of ladies have not only shown tremendous dedication and commitment to their own personal fitness goals but have also shown compassion towards their co-workers recovery and remission,” says David Paddison, President of Seacrest Partners. “Their success has provided awareness and funding to LLS, and is an example to us all that individuals working together can make a big difference in the lives of people right here in our community.”
