First Citizens Bank has named Reeves Skeen as its Southern Coastal Area Executive. Most recently, he served as the bank’s Savannah market executive.

His responsibilities now include overseeing the 24 First Citizens offices in Metro Charleston, North Charleston, Beaufort, Moncks Corner and Savannah, including the bank’s business and retail banking efforts in those markets. He is based at the company’s East Bay Street branch in Charleston.

“Reeves brings a tremendous amount of knowledge, enthusiasm and financial expertise to his role as area executive,” said Sharon Bryant, South Carolina region executive for First Citizens. “We look forward to his leadership in our southern coastal markets as we deliver on our promise of quality, stability and service excellence.”

Skeen joined the former First Citizens Bank and Trust Company, Inc., headquartered in Columbia, S.C, in 2006. Prior to becoming Savannah market executive in 2011, he served as a credit analyst, commercial relationship manager and real estate-owned manager for South Carolina and the former Georgian Bank.

A Myrtle Beach native, Reeves received his bachelor’s degree from Presbyterian College.
