Ameris Bank announced today it has named Sara Norwood as its Richmond Hill branch manager. In that role, she is responsible for overseeing branch operations and developing client and business relationships.

“Ameris Bank is pleased to have someone with Sara’s experience on our team,” said Greater Savannah Market President Austen Carroll. “She is a financial services market leader with a reputation for developing relationships built on trust, and providing customers with the tools and services that meet their goals and expectations. Sara will be a tremendous asset to our Richmond Hill customers.”

Prior to coming to Ameris Bank, Norwood worked as a market leader at BB&T Bank in Pooler, Ga., where she oversaw staffing, grew the bank’s business and increased revenue. In addition to her job at BB&T, she has also worked as a branch manager at SunTrust Bank in Savannah and as a personal banker at Bank of America in Hilton Head. 

Norwood earned a Bachelor of Science degree from American International College in Springfield, Mass., where she double majored in science and sociology and minored in business. Originally from Chester, Vt., she currently resides in Richmond Hill.
