Envirovac, the Southeastern United States premier provider of industrial cleaning, environmental services and on-site maintenance support programs, recently promoted Joe Gill to research and development manager. In this position, he will be responsible for engineering robotics that will allow substitute equipment in place of a human on all dangerous jobs and oversee all company-wide equipment.
“It is because of Joe’s leadership and vision that we are safely taking new technologies into dangerous situations,” said Kevin Jackson, president and CEO of Envirovac. “We recently completed the first hands-free turnkey chemical plant outage done totally with robotics, and Joe and his research and development team are to be commended.”
Gill previously served as a shop manager for Envirovac where he was responsible for scheduling equipment services, repairs, budgeting and forecasting equipment needs. He began working part time with Envirovac in 2005.
Gill received his Bachelor of Science from East Georgia State College in Statesboro, Ga., with a major in construction. He is a native of Fleming, Ga., where he currently resides.
