City’s Potential Purchase of Fair Site May Lead to Major Development

For 65 years it has been a place where families go to have fun. A shooting at the Coastal Empire fairgrounds has changed the way many people view that site.
The Exchange club owns the land but they’ve been trying to sell the property for more than a year. They put it up for sale after that 2012 shooting.
Now the city is looking to buy the land and has big potential plans for it.
