Marcus McBride was recently promoted to the position of business banker within the Pooler market. McBride will work directly with business owners in the area to grow business deposits and loans, and further develop commercial relationships.

Prior to joining Ameris Bank, he served as a credit manager at Great Dane Trailers in Savannah, Ga. He also served as assistant vice president and business banker at The Heritage Bank of the South and banking officer at Citizens Bank of Effingham in Springfield, Ga. He has over 8 years of banking and finance experience.

Originally from Springfield, Ga., McBride earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from The University of Georgia in 2007. He also received a professional certificate in credit analysis from The New York Institute of Finance in 2010, a professional certificate in financial institution analysis from The New York Institute of Finance in 2011, is a graduate of Leadership Effingham’s class of 2008, served as accounting chairman for Effingham County Relay for Life from 2008-2010, and currently sits on the board of directors as treasurer for The Pooler Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Bureau, Inc.
