City Puts Uniformed Ambassadors on the Streets

If you're walking around downtown Savannah chances are you'll see something new. The city hired uniformed ambassadors to keep an eye on the streets. 

We're told they'll be wearing white shirts with red detailing on the sleeves, black boots and a black ranger hat. Tourism Management & Ambassadorship Director Bridget Lidy says they'll be able to point tourists in the right direction and answer questions about attractions. These guides were also hired to keep an eye out for crime. We're told other cities have programs like this one and they are effective.
