Tech Schools Buy Savannah Port Property

Georgia Ports Authority board members will vote Tuesday to transfer 42 acres to the state’s technical college system for a Quick Start training facility.
The property, carved out of the 1,600-acre “megasite” in Pooler which has long been marketed to auto manufacturers, is owned by the state and will be given to the school system for free.
