Georgia General Assembly Sets Goal for Quick 2016 Session

The 2016 General Assembly is just one day old, and lawmakers already are in a hurry to go home.
Legislative leaders laid out a schedule Monday that does away with the budget recess that traditionally falls during the second week of lawmaking sessions. Instead, after meeting all five days this week, the General Assembly will be in session next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
