Covert Aire Announces Results of December Charitable Efforts

Wednesday, January 25th, 2017

Covert Aire is pleased to announce the results of their December charitable efforts which included a Toys 4 Tots toy drive, a canned food drive and help for those who needed heating and air.  For the second year, Covert Aire teamed up with several companies to help people without heat. Bluffton-based heating and air company, Covert Aire, donated over $10,000 to replace, repair and install heating/air systems in the homes of two families in our area.

In December, Covert Aire helped the family of an Iraq/Afghanistan War Veteran on disability by replacing the furnace and AC coil for the deserving family. This will help the veteran’s family with an autistic child to cope with the cold this winter and heat and humidity this summer.

In addition, the company was able to help a single mother caring for three children (2 with special needs)  keep her family warm this winter by installing a 3 zone ductless heating system for her house that previously had no heating system at all.

While Federal programs exist to aid homeowners in paying their heating bills, it is nearly impossible to find funding for those in need of repairs to or a replacement of their heating system. “It is such a blessing to my team and those we are able to help,” says Mike Covert, President of Covert Aire. “We believe that no one should have to face winter without proper heat and we want to do all that we can to ensure that families in our area don’t have to face the cold without help.”

In addition to Covert Aire, Bryant and AMANA were sponsors of Operation Warm Up, along with Alpha Media, who was a media partner for the program.

Additionally, Covert Aire successfully collected over 200 toys for children for Toys 4 Tots and a large collection of canned goods for a Beaufort food bank.
