Savannah to Use Eminent Domain to Acquire Properties for Neighborhood Improvement Efforts

The city is planning on using its powers of eminent domain to acquire property for neighborhood revitalization purposes, after one owner balked at selling a vacant lot the city needs for a park in Edgemere/Sackville and a home in West Savannah was left to deteriorate following the owner’s death.
