Tax Increases ahead in Savannah, Chatham County

Safety considerations, coupled with strong opposition to a fire fee, led both the Savannah Chatham Public School Board and the Savannah City Council to approve property tax increases this week as they grappled with the most equitable way to cover rising costs in some areas.
