Parker’s recently hired accomplished real estate expert Thomas Mathewes as the company’s new Real Estate Project Manager in Charleston, S.C. In his new position, Mathewes serves as the project manager for all new Parker’s stores in the greater Charleston area, overseeing site acquisition and entitlement.
 
Mathewes has five years of commercial real estate brokerage experience, working closely with retailers, investors and developers. He previously worked with Parker’s as an associate broker while with The Peninsula Company, where he used his knowledge and experience with land use, zoning and the municipal process to identify strategic future sites for the convenience store company to expand its footprint in South Carolina.

Earlier in his career, Mathewes served as the Vice President of Charted Commercial Group and as a Broker Associate with Roadstead Real Estate Advisors, both of which are located in Charleston, S.C. Mathewes is a licensed Realtor in Georgia and South Carolina and a member of the The Urban Land Institute’s Young Leaders Council and the Preservation Society of Charleston.
 
Originally from the Isle of Palms area of South Carolina, Mathewes earned a B.A. in Historic Preservation and Community Planning from the College of Charleston. He currently resides in West Ashley, S.C.
