Culver’s Restaurant Plans its Savannah Future around Old Live Oak

Owner Terry Smith likes to say it took a year to construct his new Culver’s Restaurant on Montgomery Crossroad, but 300 years to build its patio cover. That’s because he left in place a magnificent old live oak, carefully building around the tree that now drapes over a corner of the building.
