Peacock Subaru Hilton Head has selected Bluffton Jasper County Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) as its hometown charity during the 2019 Subaru Share the Love® Event taking place through Jan. 2, 2020. The local organization will be added to a list of national nonprofits that customers can select to receive a $250 donation from Subaru of America, Inc. (SOA) with each vehicle purchased from the dealership.

“We are so pleased to support Bluffton Jasper County Volunteers in Medicine’s mission to provide free medical care in a compassionate and professional manner to the uninsured of greater Bluffton and Jasper County,” said Warner Peacock, president and CEO of Peacock Automotive. “While medical needs are primarily funded by grants, their daily operating expenses are funded by donations. We are hopeful that through the Share the Love event, we will be able to make a big impact right at the start of the year."

The twelfth-annual Subaru Share the Love Event will also include the following four national charities:

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals® (ASPCA®)

Make-A-Wish®

Meals on Wheels America

National Park Foundation

This is the fourth year in a row that there will be no cap on the total donation from SOA to its Subaru Share the Love Event charitable partners. At the culmination of this year, SOA and its retailers hope to exceed a grand total of $170 million donated since the creation of the Subaru Share the Love Event.

“Subaru of America, Inc. has had the immense pleasure of working with a host of national and local charities throughout the life of the Subaru Share the Love Event,” said Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Subaru of America, Inc. “Now in its twelfth consecutive year, we look forward to continuing our support of the incredible causes and organizations our brand and our owners care most about and witnessing how this year’s donations will positively impact the world around us.”
