M.E. Sack Engineering, a full-service Georgia engineering firm, recently announced the hiring of David “Dave” Smith as Civil Engineer. In this role, he will assist Project Managers in design and draft work to bring projects to completion.

Currently a practicing engineer in training (EIT) and pursuing a professional engineering license, Smith cherishes the opportunity to learn about the details of the world around him. He enjoys contributing to the design, planning, and improvement of his community through engineering. Smith is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute class of 2016 with a B.S. of Civil Engineering. He was commissioned as an officer in the US Army in May 2016 and served as an engineer officer at Fort Stewart, GA until May 2020.

In his free time, he enjoys getting outdoors, hiking, photography, and hunting down the best cup of coffee southeast Georgia has to offer. M.E. Sack Engineering is excited to have him join their team. His energy, appetite for knowledge, and willingness to improve our community will be a huge asset to the firm.
