Chatham Orthopaedic Associates welcomes its newest physician, Gregory O. Spellman, M.D., who joins a team of 11 other highly-trained orthopaedic physicians. Dr. Spellman specializes in pain management, treating chronic pain with the latest techniques to decrease the reliance on opioid pain medications. A few of his specialized techniques include radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulation, and epidural steroid injections, among other procedures.

“I am excited to join a group of like-minded physicians who work collaboratively to provide patients the best care possible,” Dr. Spellman said.

Dr. Spellman attended the University of Mississippi for his undergraduate degree and attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia. He completed his residency at the Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Spellman is board certified in pain management and anesthesiology and is a member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, the Georgia Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

As a pain management specialist, Dr. Spellman also joins the multidisciplinary team at The Spine Institute at Chatham Orthopaedics, helping provide solutions to patients for pain associated with the neck and back.

When he is not helping patients, Dr. Spellman enjoys traveling with family, playing golf and following Ole Miss football. He and his wife, who is also a local practicing physician, are excited to call Savannah home for themselves and their two children.

Dr. Spellman practices at the main location at 4425 Paulsen Street, Building A, as well as at Chatham Orthopaedic Associates’ many satellite facilities. You may schedule appointments weekdays from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. For more information, please visit www.ChathamOrthopaedics.com
