WHAT: Senior Citizens, Inc. (SCI) will kick off its annual fan drive to help protect local-area seniors from the summer heat on Thursday, July 2, at 1 p.m. 

To qualify for a fan, seniors must be 65 years or older and have a low income. Due to COVID-19 concerns, qualifying seniors must call SCI’s office at 912-236-0363 to fill out paperwork over the phone and make an appointment to pick up a fan. Fans will be distributed on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 1 and 3 p.m. Please note that SCI’s building remains closed to the public.  

Members of the community who would like to donate to the “Fans for Seniors” drive may donate funds for fans online at www.seniorcitizensinc.org/give. In the interest of health and safety, physical donations will not be accepted at this time.
