The 98th installation ceremony of the Lions Club of Savannah was be held on June 27 at Bahia Blue Marina for the incoming officers. Sheryll D. Forbes was elected as the club president for the 2020-21 year. Forbes has been an active member of the Lions Club of Savannah for the past seven years.

Scott Harting was elected to serve as the new club secretary. The club’s vice-president will be Garlana Mathews.

“I am looking forward to leading various projects and continuing the Lions Club of Savannah’s commitment to serving the community,” said Sheryll D. Forbes, club president.

Since the club’s chartering in 1922, its members have worked on a variety of projects in the local community, such as Project Vision, Used Eyeglasses Recycling, and Christmas Tree Sales. Proceeds from past fundraising events have gone to Lions Camp for the Blind, Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation, Leader Dogs for the Bling, and the Salvation Army.
