Re:Purpose Savannah Announces New Executive Board for the 2021 Year

Re:Purpose Savannah, a(501)c3 non-profit organization specializing in sustainable deconstruction of historic buildings, has announced a new executive board for the 2021 year. 

New executive board members include Clara Fishel of KW Commercial as President; Bryan Mossing, Drafting instructor at Savannah Technical College, as Vice President; Erin Wessling, CEO and Founder of W Projects, LLC as Secretary; and James Gallucci, AIA, LEED GA, Architect at Pantheon ADC as Treasurer.

“We are thrilled to welcome these board members to their new roles at Re:Purpose Savannah,” says Mae Bowley, Executive Director of Re:Purpose Savannah. “All of our board members are highly active in their field and bring a wealth of expertise to our organization for the 2021 year. It is wonderful to see the leading women on our board step into leadership roles within our organization. Further, we are committed to creating more inclusion among our leadership, and are currently holding spaces on our board for non-white leaders to join our team.”

Additional members of the board include: Benjamin Curran, department head of Savannah Technical College’s Historic Preservation and Restoration; Mark Fitzpatrick, CEO of M J Fitzpatrick & Company; Denis Blackburne, Senior VP and Georgia office manager for The Woda Group, Inc.; llise Benun, founder of Marketing-Mentor.com; Chris Miller, researcher and professor of design management at Savannah College of Art and Design; and Melissa Memory, superintendent of Fort Pulaski National Monument.

Re:Purpose Savannah is operated by Emergent Structures, a sustainability-driven 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to changing our society’s perception of waste. Re:Purpose Savannah preserves historic structures through research and documentation, careful deconstruction and architectural salvage available for purchase and reuse at their marsh front lumber yard.
