Union Mission to Launch a NEW Monthly Informational Zoom Series with Community Partners in September 2020

Union Mission will host a 30-minute monthly zoom series featuring topics that impact homelessness. The series will kick-off on Tuesday, September 7, 2020 from 11:30am – 12:00pm with Ms. Sharon Hill, Homeless Liaison for Savannah Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS) focusing on homeless youth and the impact of children going back to school during a COVID-19 time. Registration is not required, a zoom link will be available at www.unionmission.org

Hill has served as the Homeless Liaison for the SCCPSS for the last 13 years. She is primarilyresponsible for managing and coordinating the educational services for homeless children and youth and works to ensure the district remains McKinney-Vento Act compliant. Hill is a former employee of theChatham-Savannah Authority for the Homeless where she worked as a Case Manager, the ProgramDirector for the AmeriCorps - ASSIST Savannah Program, and the PATH Peer Support OutreachProgram.  She is also a certified SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access and Recovery (SOAR) trainer.
