Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood (GMC) is pleased to announce the addition of Cassie Beckwith to the team as an architectural designer and local liaison in Savannah, Ga. In this role, she will be responsible for managing architecture projects within Savannah and surrounding areas, interfacing with clients and coordinating with design and construction teams.
“We are thrilled to have Cassie as part of our team and to expand the services we can provide locally to our coastal Georgia clients,” Courtney Reich, GMC Vice President and Savannah Office Leader, said.
Beckwith has more than 14 years of architectural experience, in both the roles of business development and project management. A native of Texas, she moved to Savannah in 2003 to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design where she earned her Master of Architecture in 2007.
“Working with a company that values the community as much as I do and has the experience and knowledge to serve their clients well, is exciting,” Beckwith said. “I look forward to furthering GMC’s mission to ‘build communities that thrive,’ in Savannah and the coastal region.”
Beckwith has been highly active in the community, most notably through her work with Urban Hope. Beckwith has served on the board since 2009 and helped create the organization’s two annual fundraising events, the Pee Wee Rodeo and Chefs and Chocolates.
Beckwith has been recognized for her involvement in the community over the years, including being named the “Education and Youth Development Volunteer of the Year” by the United Way of the Coastal Empire in 2018 and a “Rising Star in Business” by Savannah Magazine and The Savannah Morning News in 2015.
GMC’s Savannah office recently relocated to 7 East Congress Street, Suite 504, in Johnson Square in the heart of downtown Savannah.
