Union Mission Partners with SAFE Shelter for Informational Zoom on Domestic Violence Awareness Month

Union Mission will host a 30-minute informational zoom series on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 from 11:30am – 12:00pm with Cheryl Branch, Executive Director at SAFE Shelter. The monthly informational zoom series is intended to feature topics that impact homelessness. Union Mission will highlight the connection between domestic violence and homelessness in our community during Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October. Branch started working for SAFE Shelter in 1996 and was given the task of creating the agency’s first Outreach Program. Branch, along with two victim advocates, structured the program which 24 years later, is still going strong. Branch became Executive Director for SAFE Shelter in 2007 and continues to develop and maintain relationships with other local victim-centered agencies including Rape Crisis Center, Children’s Advocacy Center, and Chatham County Victim Witness Assistance Program.
