Step One Automotive Group will join the 75th Veterans Council of Chatham County in celebrating Veterans Day by bringing their Grab and Go Meals for Local Heroes. The Veterans Day Parade will kick off at 10am followed by a free lunch served from 10:30am to 2pm on Wednesday, November 11 at the Port Wentworth Elementary School located at 507 South Coastal Highway in Port Wentworth GA.

“The American Legion Post 135 usually host a lunch courtesy of Walmart. With the pandemic, we had to pivot and reached out to community partner Step One Auto and ask if they would help share the cost of feeding our veterans.” shares Veterans Day lunch event coordinator Jennifer Fortenberry. “After months of feeding our first responders, Maja Ciric and her team graciously agreed to make sure a free lunch for veterans would happen.”

“Step One is proud to ask to be part of this years Veterans Day Parade. We are bringing our monthly Grab and Go Meals for Local Heroes to the parade to make sure our veterans have a cooked fresh meal,” shares Step One Automotive Group Marketing Manager Maja Ciric. “We are honored to serve these courageous service men and women and look forward to helping them celebrate this important day.”

Popular and locally owned food trucks The Bayou Cafe, BowTie BBQ, the Naked Dog will be on site serving up delicious, pre-packaged meals, while also abiding by social distancing standards.
