The Bayou Cafe, for 30 Years a River Street live Music and Food Destination, to Close

The music will stop on Jan. 31 at one of Savannah’s havens for live music, the Bayou Café.
The River Street staple will close after three decades of hosting live music seven days a week. A rent increase led to the decision not to renew the lease, said Vincent Zambito, son of the Bayou’s founder, Jerry Zambito.
