Habersham YMCA Assumes New Leadership

The YMCA of Coastal Georgia is pleased to announce Jazmine Spicer has been promoted to the Habersham YMCA Associate Director. She has worked in several capacities of the Y for many years and is an industry leader in health, fitness and wellness.
"Over the past couple of years we have witnessed Jazmine’s servant leadership and ability to create synergy with the staff. She is the consummate professional who is focused on member experience. She is respected equally by the members and staff and will be a valuable member of the YMCA leadership team.” said Krystal McGee, Chief Operating Officer of YMCA of Coastal Georgia. "As our members and community needs continue to change, we have full confidence in Jazmine. We know we have someone with the proven talent, experience and instincts to help meet those demands."
Spicer was born and raised in Savannah and graduate of Georgia Southern University with a BS in Kinesiology.
After an internship with Savannah State University where she was a Strength and Conditioning Coach for the many of the collegiate sports teams to include football, men’s basketball and baseball, she worked as a Wellness and Corporate Health Consultant with EnviorVac and as a Health Educator and Manager with Savannah-Chatham County Public School System. She has also served as a Health and Fitness Specialist with NLA Fitness.
In addition to her professional experience, Jazmine volunteers as a mentor for Citizens Advocacy Organization. She is a health educator for local churches and organizations and serves as a lead Sunday school teacher for her home church Overcoming by Faith Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Ricky Temple.
Spicer is married to Savannah native Eric Spicer. The two are expecting their first child in August 2021 and spend their weekends hiking outdoor trails at state parks or watching movies with homemade stove top popcorn.
