Award-winning writer, journalist and television personality Jesse Holland will address students of Savannah State University’s Tiger’s Roar Summer Journalism Institute. Holland will speak at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 25, during a virtual closing ceremony. The public is invited to attend by visiting here.

Holland is the host of the Saturday edition of C-SPAN’s Washington Journal. He also appears on CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News. Previously, Holland was a long-time race and ethnicity reporter for the Associated Press, where he also covered the White House, the Supreme Court, and Congress. He is the author and editor of Black Panther: Tales of Wakanda, the first prose anthology featuring the first Black superhero from Marvel Comics.

The Tiger’s Roar Summer Journalism Institute, sponsored by the university’s Department of Journalism and Mass Communications, is a one-week virtual summer camp for middle and high school students who are interested in pursuing careers in journalism, media production, and public relations.
