BankSouth is pleased to welcome Wes Phelps and Derek Solanki to the bank as universal bankers and members of the retail banking team. They will work to develop, expand, and retain customer relationships in the Savannah market.

Phelps has a B.S. in Economics from Georgia Southern University.  Prior to joining the bank, he worked in various management positions and most recently was the residential director for Soto ALG.

Solanki is experienced in the banking industry having worked for two national banks as both a teller and community branch banker.  He is multilingual and has a strong management background in the retail industry.
