The 200 Club of the Coastal Empire will be recognized for its service to the families of fallen first responders during Bible Baptist Church’s special memorial service, “Chatham County Remembers.” The event is also designed to honor the 20^th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorists’ attacks. This event is set for 10:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 12 at Bible Baptist Church of Savannah, located at 4700 Skidaway Road.

During the service, Bible Baptist Church will highlight the 200 Club of the Coastal Empire’s outstanding commitment to its families and its efforts to support regional branches of law enforcement. Gifts of appreciation will be presented for all law-enforcement officers and first responders who attend the service. 

“It is important to honor those who risked their lives 20 years ago to respond to the attacks in New York as well as the people who still do the same work today,” 200 Club President Mark Dana said. “The 200 Club of the Coastal Empire would like to thank Bible Baptist Church for their continuous support of our mission and recognizing the heroes in this community.”

Due to the rise of COVID-19 cases, Bible Baptist Church has a phased-in approach to returning to in-person gatherings on their church campus. The Two Hundred Club is a 501(c) (3) organization who “cares for those who care for us” by providing spouses of their late first responders who have lost their lives or sustain critical injuries in the line of duty. The organization serves a 20-county area within Georgia and South Carolina. All proceeds from this event will go directly to supporting the families of fallen heroes.
