Step One Automotive Group presents Kenya Burns, a Certified Medication Aide at John Wesley Villas with their Local Hero Award during their monthly Grab-n-Go Meal event for health workers, military, first responders and veterans on Friday, August 27th from 11am to 2:00pm at Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM Fiat’s location at 1100 Chatham Parkway, Savannah GA. 

“We all know more than one: maybe it’s your neighbor, family or team member, maybe a nurse, first responder, teacher or an amazing person from the grocery store. Acknowledging people that impact our lives is something Step One Auto is passionate about and we want to continue to recognize their efforts,” states Step One Automotive Group Marketing Manager Maja Ciric. “Being able to recognize and award Kenya with a $500 gift card, a JEEP Gladiator for the weekend and complimentary dinner is an honor.” 

“Kenya Burns dedication and passion for the residents of John Wesley Villas was evident while she was fighting breast cancer. She didn’t call in, didn’t come in late, didn’t complain - all while taking her chemo treatments” shares JWV Staffing Coordinator Carrie McClintcok. Cancer free, Kenya shares, “My seniors gave me hope, told me of their struggles and counted on me to be one of the few faces they were able to see everyday.”
