Savannah Singer-songwriters can 'Shut Up and Play' in a New Midtown Location; You are Invited

The Midtown Pickers are getting old enough to be an institution. By singing telegram, I was invited by Skip Jennings to their eighth anniversary get-together on Aug. 4.
Cohen’s Retreat is the new home for Midtown Pickers. It has a long, inspiring history. It was built in the 1930s from the bequest of Percy Cohen to construct a facility “where men would not die old and lonely.” Until it closed in the 1980s, Cohen’s Old Man’s Home fulfilled that basic and eloquent mission to hundreds of men.
