Boy Scouts of America Coastal Georgia Council Popcorn Sales are in full swing. Scouts throughout the region will be selling “Trails End” popcorn products to help Scouts earn their way. Since the sale began in 1980, this annual effort has grown to become Scouting's largest local fundraiser.

Over 70% of the proceeds from the sale of popcorn support local Scouting programs such as camping and other Scout-related activities. Proceeds go to the local Scout Packs and Troops who sold you the popcorn. Purchases can be made online or directly from a Scout, many will be selling at store fronts through the end of October. You can identify scouts selling popcorn by their Scout uniforms.In addition to funding an array of adventure opportunities, the sale also helps local youth develop self-confidence and important life skills. “One of the many life skills that scouting and popcorn sales teaches is salesmanship,” says Lew Sisson, Scout Executive for Coastal Georgia Council, BSA. “Each year our Scouts learn and gain confidence through our largest fundraiser; it’s a joy to see them learn to pay their own way through their efforts and hard work.”Sales end December 31st and those that order online will receive their orders within a week. Those that purchase from a Scout in-person will usually receive their products the same day. These products make great Christmas gifts for those that are “hard to buy for”. There are a number of products available for purchase, including the traditional popping corn, microwave popcorn, various flavors of popcorn, flavored pretzels and more. In addition, there are opportunities to purchase popcorn that is sent directly to our first responders, military men and women, their families, and veteran organizations.
