Empty Bowl Fundraiser November 7th
Friday, November 5th, 2021
The 11th Annual Empty Bowl Fundraiser benefiting the Emmaus House Soup Kitchen will take place Sunday November 7th from Noon-2pm in Downtown Savannah.
About the Empty Bowl Fundraiser
The Empty Bowl Fundraiser is a Ceramic Art Show featuring handmade bowls donated by various local artists in the Savannah area. Tickets are $20 and will include homemade soup prepared by new Emmaus House Executive Chef Brandi Kelsey. The event will take place downtown in Reynolds Square. Due to COVID-19 we will be implementing "Take-out" style dining just as the Emmaus House Soup Kitchen feeding program has put in operation for our clients. The event includes an Online Art Auction (bit.ly/OnlineAuction11) a “Cooking with Chef Brandi” video (https://youtu.be/pUHfGGsfzf8) and an Artist Spotlight social media series leading up to the November 7th event. www.unitedministriessavannah.org/emptybowl
About the Emmaus House Soup Kitchen
The mission of Emmaus House is to provide hearty meals and basic services to the homeless and those in need in collaboration with the community of Savannah Georgia. As an unrestricted soup kitchen, no one is ever turned away. It is a place of respite from the outside elements for individuals experiencing homelessness. Clients come from shelters, homeless camps and other environments not meant for habitation to Emmaus House, where we welcome them with open arms and no judgment. Our organization believes that everyone, regardless of their circumstance, has the right to a hot meal, clean clothing and a hot shower.
