"We are seeing all-time low unemployment rates throughout the state of Georgia reflecting an economy that is continuing to rapidly recover,” said Commissioner Mark Butler. “We are working with employers across the state to post, recruit, and fill critical positions in preparation for a strong holiday employment season.”

The labor force decreased in Hinesville by 233 and ended the month with 34,058. That number is up 1,247 when compared to September of 2020.

Hinesville finished the month with 33,218 employed residents.  That number decreased by 55 over the month but is up by 2,282 when compared to the same time a year ago.

Hinesville ended September with 20,800 jobs. That number remained flat from August to September and increased by 400 when compared to this time last year.

The number of unemployment claims went down by 34 percent in Hinesville in September. When compared to last September, claims were down by about 81 percent.

Employ Georgia, the GDOL’s online job listing service at employgeorgia.com showed about 405 active job postings in Hinesville for September.
