Leopold's Ice Cream Employees Come Together to Give Back and Support United Way of the Coastal Empire

Leopold’s Ice Cream employees come together to donate more than one thousand dollars to United Way of the Coastal Empire to help improve lives throughout the four-county region.

“I am so proud of our team!  Leopold’s has had a long history since my father’s day of reaching out to the community, schools, churches, libraries, military, and first responders,” says Stratton Leopold, Leopold’s Ice Cream owner.  “It’s an important part of our business culture and I was inspired to see our employees step up in this way to support this worthy cause that reaches so many people in need throughout our community.”

Earlier this month, Leopold’s unveiled a new “Sweet Savannah Pearl” Sundae as part of United Way of the Coastal Empire’s “Always United Challenge.”  The limited-edition sundae ties together this year’s campaign theme, ‘no grit, no pearl.”  Proceeds from the sales of the sundaes benefit United Way of the Coastal Empire’s Campaign, which serves Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, and Liberty counties.

“It takes all of us coming together to make a difference,” said Leopold.  “I encourage other local business owners and employees to get involved with United Way in some way and support this critical fundraising campaign that serves our community in so many ways.”
