Southern Charm Team, a local real estate team brokered by eXp Realty, will host their 2nd Annual Cornhole Tournament to benefit Families Behind the Badge. The tournament will be held Sunday, December 5th at the field directly behind Port Wentworth City Hall, located at 7724 GA Hwy 21. Port Wentworth GA 31407. 

“In August last year, our teammate Sarah Fisher’s father, Pt. Pentworth Lt. Dale Sylvester passed away and we saw the hardship it caused her family. The money we raise today will help families in similar situations,” shares event coordinator Susie Sowell.

This event includes over a dozen local vendors, food trucks from Molly McPherson and Ben & Jerry’s, bouncy houses and a raffle that includes a blackstone grill, a year's worth of Ben & Jerry ice cream, six bicycles and a set of tires. (Beer and wine will be onsite.)

Registration will begin at 11am. Tournament starts at 12 noon and winners of raffle items will be drawn every 30 minutes. An air mail challenge for a $500 cash prize will be held every hour.

Lt. Sylvester’s unexpected passing led to Families Behind the Badge being formed to help with medical bills and family expenses for first responders during unexpected crises. Families Behind the Badge will host an annual fundraiser that will include local businesses, vendors, food trucks and entertainment.
