Changes Coming to Savannah St. Patrick's Day Parade Mayor Wants Event to be More 'Family Friendly'

With less than two months until the much-anticipated return of Savannah's St. Patrick's Day festival and parade, Mayor Van Johnson says he's looking to make changes to this year's event to make it more inclusive and family friendly.
Savannah's St. Patrick's Day parade, with roots that date back to the early 1800s, is one of the largest in the country but has not taken place since 2019. Both the 2020 and 2021 events were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
