The American Heart Association announced today that the 25^th Annual Southern Coast Heart Ball will be postponed from its original date of February 5^th to Saturday, April 2^nd, 2022. The event’s location at the Savannah Riverfront Marriott, the start time of 6:30pm, and the format of the evening all remain unchanged.

As a science-based organization which cares deeply about the health of all local communities, the American Heart Association has been closely following the guidance from the CDC and state and local health officials on the coronavirus (COVID-19). The safety of guests has always been and will continue to be the organization’s top priority.

“We have decided that the best course is to remove the uncertainty for our guests and postpone our Southern Coast Heart Ball. Sharing this news with our supporters is not easy, as we know how much time, commitment and sacrifice they have put into supporting the Southern Coast Heart Ball and helping it be the best it can be,” said Ansley Howze, Executive Director. “We thank the community for its understanding and continued support.”

Chaired by Ricky Molina, Area CEO of Encompass Health, the event will include dinner, dancing, silent and live auctions. “As the current COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, we have a responsibility to put the safety and wellbeing of the community first,” said Ricky. “We look forward to hosting the event in the coming months, pending guidance on in-person events from health authorities. We are excited to continue to participate in AHA initiatives and continue to build awareness about the impact of cardiovascular disease.”
