Dr. Joe Buck Decides Not To Seek Re-Election for School Board President Due to Health Scare

Dr. Joe Buck, III formally announced his reelection campaign for Savannah-Chatham County Public School System (SCCPSS) Board President last Monday, February 7, 2022. Last Thursday, February 10, he experienced a medical emergency leading to his decision to not seek re-election for School Board President. While his medical emergency was not life-threatening, it did cause him to consider his priorities to focus on his health and his family at this time.
Buck served as the two-term president for the SCCPSS from 2007 to 2014 and is presently in his third term. The election for school board president will be held in Chatham County on May 24, 2022.
