Greenbriar Children’s Center to Hold Board of Directors’ Annual Meeting

Wednesday, March 9th, 2022

Greenbriar Children’s Center, a non-profit organization serving children and families in Savannah for over 72 years, will hold its annual meeting virtually on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at noon.

Mrs. Juanita Adams, the 2021 President of the Board of Directors, noted “As Immediate Past President of the Greenbriar Board of Directors, I would like to extend my gratitude to my fellow Board members for their hard work and dedication during 2021, which was another challenging year for many due to Covid-19.  We are holding our Annual Meeting virtually again this year to ensure that our community and staff remain safe.”

Gena P. Taylor, the Executive Director of Greenbriar stated that, “Despite the pandemic, we continued to operate all of our programs for children and families in Savannah and Chatham County. We also made significant progress with new programs in 2021…including the introduction of new initiatives geared toward preventing and mitigating adverse childhood experiences (ACES) in our community. Educating providers at early childhood centers and parents of young children about the negative impact of trauma on the children in their care can help our community as a whole become more trauma informed and resilient.”

Greenbriar’s Annual Meeting will be available on Greenbriar’s Facebook page on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at noon.  Thereafter, a link will also be available on Greenbriar’s website at www.greenbriarchildrenscenter.org
