The “Information Superhighway” just got new high-speed lanes as AT&T’s fiber expansion efforts continue across Georgia

What’s the news? Internet in parts of Savannah just got a whole lot faster. AT&T Fiber – the fastest internet among major providers¹ – has introduced its all-new 2-Gig and 5-Gig Hyper-Gig speeds across parts of its entire footprint, including Savannah.    

Why does this matter? More than ever, customers need fast, reliable internet speeds. In the past year, we’ve seen almost half of all U.S.-based office workers have the choice to work remotely – and many have made their home office their new permanent workplace. In addition, more than 60% of consumers have purchased connected devices such as Smart TVs or streaming devices for their homes.²

What about the digital divide? AT&T is committed to connecting more Americans to reliable, high-speed broadband internet in several ways, including expanding and upgrading our network and participating in the federal Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP). The ACP provides eligible households with a benefit of up to $30 a month and up to $75 on qualifying Tribal lands to reduce the cost of broadband service and can be applied to all our AT&T Fiber speed tiers.
