The Current and Savannah State University’s student Tiger’s Roar TV will host a 1st Congressional District Democratic Primary Candidate Forum on Tuesday, April 26, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Candidate Forum will be streamed live on YouTube and recorded for sharing across all media.

The three candidates in the race — Joyce Marie Griggs, Wade Herring and Michelle Munroe — will face questions solicited in advance from students and voters at the campus studio. The forum is a chance for candidates to hear interests and questions from the community as well as describe their specific goals and visions.

The event will follow the format using questions and answers with timed responses. Moderators will be Margaret Coker, Editor in Chief of The Current, and Ariel Felton, Director of Youth Programs for the Deep Center.

There will be a small audience of students from Savannah State’s Department of Journalism and Mass Communications and supervising faculty members.
