Visit Savannah and the Savannah Sports Council have been informed by organizers of the Rock ‘n Roll Marathon that they will not be returning to the Savannah/Chatham County area in 2022.

“We are disappointed but extremely grateful for the partnership that our organization, and our community, have enjoyed with the race since 2011. Runners from all over the world have visited Savannah to participate, enjoy our city and have come back over and over again. I know that our destination made many new friends over the years of us hosting this event and we are thankful for that” said Joseph Marinelli, President of Visit Savannah.

Discussion about a return in future years is still to be determined.
