Savannah Children's Museum to Host SoilFamily Expo

On Saturday, May 21, 2022, SoilFamily Expo will be educating guests of all ages at Savannah Children's Museum from 9:30am until 2:30pm. The SoilFamily Expo is a collaborative edutaining adventure in homesteading, interactive presentation, and educational performance which focuses on helping families and communities grow in all areas.

SoilFamily Expo will host a variety of activities from how to prepare your soil, proper watering, how to plant and care for seedlings, when and how to harvest your crops, and multiple ways to prepare your harvest from garden to table. There will be ongoing activities throughout the day from various partners as well as a presentation from LionCrest Outdoors Garden at 11:00am and a banana plant donation to Savannah Children’s Museum from Black’s Tropical Homestead at 12:00 pm. Bow Tie Barbecue Co. and Savannah Square Pops will have refreshments available for purchase as well. Savannah Children’s Museum educators will have Fun at the Farm-themed activities and crafts to complement SoilFamilyExpo.

Admission to SoilFamily Expo is included in the cost of regular admission to Savannah Children’s Museum, $10 for all guests 18 months and older. This event is FREE for Coastal Heritage Society members.
