Coastal Empire Habitat for Humanity announces their upcoming “Family Reunion & Resource Fair” event on Saturday, July 30th, from 10am - 1pm. The event will take place at the Garden City Gymnasium and Recreation Center, located at 160 Priscilla D Thomas Way, is free, and for the first time open to the public.

This annual event has historically been targeted to Habitat homeowners. However, for the first time, the day is open for all Chatham County residents to attend and participate. The day serves to connect attendees to resources provided by local businesses and other non-profit organizations, as well as educate current and future homeowners on services provided. Highlights include vendor booths, Habitat homeowner success stories, volunteer presentation, lunch, and much more. A day of fun, fellowship, and reconnection, the goal of the Family Reunion & Resource Fair aligns with Habitat’s mission to bring people together to build homes, community and hope.

Habitat for Humanity is still seeking sponsorship partners for the event. This includes monetary donations to assist in covering the costs of the day, vendor participation, donation of door prizes, and volunteers. Community support is crucial to the success of the fair and all contributions, regardless of size, are greatly appreciated!
