District Live at Plant Riverside District Announces Live Summer Concerts Featuring Howard Jones, Flipturn and Pretty Darn

District Live, a state-of-the-art live music venue powered by Live Nation at Plant Riverside District in Savannah, Ga., recently announced three new concerts, including legendary ‘80s artist Howard Jones, local favorite Pretty Darn and Florida-based Flipturn.

“We’re excited to bring such a talented and diverse group of artists to Savannah for amazing summer concerts at District Live, in conjunction with Live Nation” said Tyler Gray, Director of Entertainment at JW Marriott Savannah Plant Riverside District. “From indie rock to ‘80s pop, there’s truly something for everyone to enjoy at District Live.”

District Live recently announced the following live performances:

FLIPTURN WITH ILLITERATE LIGHT
Thursday, June 30 — 8 p.m.
$20 in advance | $25 day of show
Indie rock band Flipturn is a DIY success story, easily transitioning from their days in a Fernandina Beach, Florida garage to sold out shows across the U.S. Led by the smooth vocals of Dillon Basse, this five-piece band has been together since 2015 and shows no signs of slowing down with over 40 million streams on Spotify and numerous major festival appearances on the horizon. Previously touring with Mt. Joy, Rainbow Kitten Surprise and Wilderado, Flipturn encourages audiences to soak up their melodic songs like "Chicago," "Vanilla" and "Something You Needed.”

PRETTY DARN WITH HOLLIFIELD

Pretty Darn is a band that easily transitions from radio-ready pop and rock to acoustic folk and country. Based on Hilton Head Island, S.C., the band is led by singer-songwriters Nick Poulin and Kyle Wareham, whose harmonies and lyrics truly shine in their latest single “Casual.”

Best known for his #1 hit song "No One Is To Blame," singer, songwriter and keyboardist Howard Jones has had a groundbreaking music career that spans nearly four decades. The Southhampton, England native has sold millions of albums and had 15 Top 40 global singles. Select hits include "New Song," "What is Love?," "Things Can Only Get Better," "Everlasting Love" and "Like To Get To Know You Well." A pioneer of synths, Jones has performed at the Grammy Awards alongside Stevie Wonder, Herbie Hancock and Thomas Dolby, at the UK Live Aid Show at Wembley Stadium, at the Tribute to Elton John at Carnegie Hall and on tour with Ringo Starr and his All-Starr Band.
